Brokerage Information
If you are considering selling your Drascombe, Character Boat or Adventure Boat nesting dinghy, we are best placed to advise you and try and connect you to a potential buyer.
We offer two options for brokerage which are outlines below - the links to the documents provide more information.
If you have another make of boat you are considering selling contact us to discuss.
Brokerage Options
The link below will take you to our Brokerage Information document which provides all the details, but in brief.
We offer two Brokerage options - Full and Remote.
Full Brokerage - your boat is hosted by us and assessed to price and market it - we deal with all viewings and negotiations, within an agreed framework.
Remote Brokerage - the boat remains with you, and you supply us with images.videos with which to market the boat. We will deal with initial negotiations and questions, hopefully sending a committed purchaser to you for a confirmatory viewing and collection.
Unfortunately we only have limited space for Full Brokerage, particularly at busy times - Winter and Spring when build and refurb as well as repairs are in full swing.

Presenting your boat
Remote Brokerage is the most common options, either by choice or circumstances at the yard. With this in mind the document below outlines the steps that you, as an owner, can take to present your boat in the best possible fashion.
That is not to suggest you shy away from faults, damage, wear and tear - in fact quite the opposite
Here is a brief resume -
We encourage a 'warts and all' approach. There is nothing that puts a damper on the negotiations than the prospective purchaser, having travelled in many cases, a considerable distance and finding that the boat has damage or issues that were not made clear at the outset.
So, pictures of the hull, antifouling, trailer, wheels, bearing, decks, spars, sails, fittings, engine, covers, oars - overviews as well as detail i.e if you say the spars are in good condition, make sure the images reflect close up to show that.
Videos as well - we recommedn short separate video of 20 - 30 sec of each side of the hull - showing the finish, scratches, whatever there is. The same for the top sides and again for the spars, sails and not forgetting the trailer
