The Dapper

Hampshire Character Boats specialise in the building of these traditional and classic sailing craft which are widely recognised throughout the world for traditional style and quality of build.
The Dapper is based on fishing boats extensively used on the lochs of Scotland. 'Dapping' is a traditional boat-fishing technique, and it is boats like this that provide an extremely stable platform.
The Dapper is both light and easy to row, with the excellent stability provided by water ballast.

The Dapper is a new addition to the range, and she is very much in keeping with the traditional style, distinctive looks but low maintenance characteristics of her bigger sisters in the range.
The versatility of this craft lends itself to a variety of uses, whether it is used by keen fishermen in pursuit of salmon or sea trout, or a family enjoying a day on the river with a picnic.
The hand laid fibreglass is edged with a hardwood trim, with the woodwork finished with a micro porous treatment. Comfort and looks are enhanced by the wood finish benches.
If it is desired, the Dapper can accommodate an outboard engine; either standard 4 stroke or an electric engine.
